Packaging Innovations: flagship show returns

Packaging Innovations and Empack returns to Birmingham’s NEC on 16 & 17 February 2022, reuniting the entire packaging community, and taking visitors on a complete packaging journey, from design and development through to packing, filling and fulfilment.

The UK’s largest packaging event will connect specifiers and buyers with the suppliers, materials, technologies, and expertise they need to create and futureproof their packaging and packing lines. With content tailored for the food and drinks, pharmaceutical and chemical, personal care, household, label and printing, and contract packing sectors, the event is guaranteed to solve any packaging challenges and help get people inspired for the year ahead.

At the show, visitors will have the unrivalled opportunity to connect with over 300 industry leading suppliers, and discover the latest trends and innovations. Elsewhere, visitors can network with like-minded individuals across the two-days, allowing them to build new relationships and reaffirm pre-existing ones.

Packaging Innovations will provide visitors with new perspectives and help create business opportunities for everyone involved in designing and developing primary and secondary packaging. Joining the show floor will be the likes of Abbey Labels, Durham Box, Flexi-Films, Foxpak Flexibles, i2r Packaging Solution, Lemonpath, M&H Plastics, Schur Star Systems, Sirane, Tinplate, Valpak, and XPO Logistics.

For directors of packaging and filling operations, Empack will provide a unique opportunity to meet with suppliers that understand the very latest manufacturing trends and technologies that are shaping the future of the industry. Indeed, the likes of Adpak Machinery Systems, Epson, HSM UK, Sealed Air, Yorkshire Packaging Systems, and Zakka Multitec, will be joining the show floor.

The show will also be hosting a free-to-attend seminar programme which will enable visitors to hear from industry leaders, innovators, and policy influencers, as they put some of the sector’s most pressing issues under the microscope. Specially curated sessions for the personal care, food and drinks, household, pharmaceutical, label and print, and contract packaging sectors, plus the event’s new platform the £10 Billion Debate, will ensure there is something for everyone.

Renan Joel, Divisional Director at Easyfairs, said: “Following the success of our Packaging Innovations London show in December, we are extremely excited to welcome everyone back to the NEC for Packaging Innovations and Empack in February. Nothing beats being able to share ideas and do business face-to-face, and after a year without the Birmingham show, there is a lot to catch up on.”

He added: “Our event is a fantastic opportunity for business professionals to connect and build relationships that will strengthen industry bonds. And, as always, innovation remains at the beating heart of the show. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the very best the packaging industry has to offer across the entire supply chain, and they will be able to learn from the brightest minds through our carefully curated content. I can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the NEC next year.”
