The company manufactures single ply, peel and reveal labels and offers various embellishments from hot foil and embossing to high build varnish. The fewer hands that touch the artwork, the less chance there is of a mistake being made.
They offer Esko “WebCenter” so customers have access to their artwork 24/7. This is another step forward, as sign off can take place out of hours and without endless chasing.
Managing Director Andrew Mansfield has held various high-level positions in the print industry over a career spanning 35 years. One of his great passions lies in staff training
and ensuring all upcoming employees are at the top of their game. Andrew regards each and every staff member as the future of the business and provides them with the necessary training and tools to excel in their roles.
Harkwell is based on the sunshine coast of Poole, Dorset, and is a fully committed HP Indigo digital label and flexible packaging specialist. In addition to the printing floor, the company has a series of ABG and Karlville finishing equipment.
It is always striving for environmental excellence too. The Harkwell factory was purpose built in 2011 and hosts a farm of solar panels on the roof to catch that Southern Sun.
In winter, meanwhile, the site is heated with recycled heat that’s generated by the printers. They have also invested in an electric van for deliveries.
Harkwell is BRC AA rated with no non-conformances for the last two years. Its team of young managers – and not so young directors – all work towards a common goal of producing the best label or flexible packaging possible, at a favourable price the client is willing to pay.
