Spar Group Ltd, South Africa, has recently achieved a Guinness World Record by producing 35,000 cupcakes for the world’s largest cupcake mosaic. This record was achieved by using a Riggs Autopack Series 1 micro-fill depositor supplied by Riggs Autopack’s South Africa agent, John Pelucci of National Packaging Systems. National Packaging Systems was established in 1983 as a manufacturer of vertical form, fill and seal machines, volumetric depositors, auger fillers, feeding systems and conveyors for the food and beverage industry. It has had a long working relationship with Riggs. All cupcakes used in the mosaic were donated to charity and the money raised went to Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer – a total of R164 750.00.
