Metsä Board recently demonstrated an innovative new ‘beverage box’ concept at Drupa. The ‘Elevated Drink Box’ designed and patented by Metsä Board, is an easy and convenient way for consumers to enjoy beverages. The box was produced by combining the expertise of Metsä Board, BOBST, Kodak, Henkel, Marbach and Knauer and is based upon using Metsä Board’s fresh forest fibre paperboards. The objective was to incorporate an elevated base into a standard ‘beverage box’ design, enabling the consumer to use the box anywhere without having to place it on the edge of a table. The box does not take up additional shelf space as the elevated base is inside the packaging, ready for assembly by the consumer before use.
