Communisis is a global communications company that designs, creates and delivers highly effective and integrated customer communications across all direct, digital and social channels. Based in Newcastle, Communisis Campaign Fulfilment function offers over 162,000 square foot across two sites, specialising in storage, stock management, kitting, collation, response handling, brand fulfilment strategy and logistics services and a dedicated co-packing and product manipulation facility.
Communisis has a long-standing relationship with a well-known Beer, Wine and Spirits client to provide marketing communication services. Communisis identified a challenge whereby disparate processes were often causing issues with speed to market. They were able to present a consolidated supply chain solution ensuring an end-to-end project delivery model structured under the same account ownership. This led to further collaboration with the client to design and source range of display units that meet the needs of the big four UK supermarkets, improving speed to market and ensuring brand consistency.
Once designed and printed, stock is delivered directly into Communisis’ UK warehouse operation where the units are prefilled with the chosen brand, security tagged and prepared for despatch. The warehouse recently received bonded status enabling the client to more effectively manage their duty obligations to HMRC whilst maintaining an agile supply chain.
This high-profile shipper fulfilment work includes a large volume & complex co-packing requirement, comprising of 7,372 units and 1,041,000 individual bottles for the final quarter of 2020 alone. Communisis work hand in hand with the customer and their 3PL supplier to facilitate the delivery of completed items into retailer’s distribution centres.
