Spectra Packaging has announced that it will be including 10% recycled content to all future plastic bottles manufactured at its UK plant. As a responsible plastics manufacturer, Spectra has decided to take the initiative, shifting the responsibility in a bold move to see as many of its customers as possible using more environmental materials. Fully implemented by the end of 2018 at no extra cost to customers, the environmental scheme, called PCR10,
will see Spectra add a minimum of 10% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) material to all future bottles. Sourced in the UK whenever possible to minimise carbon impact, Spectra work closely with PCR suppliers to track the recycled materials back allowing traceability.
