Stölzle Glass Group has won a WorldStar Award in the beverage category for its Isle of Harris gin bottle.
WPO Members met in Vienna in November for judging of the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2017. Representatives from 23 packaging associations, members of WPO (World Packaging Organisation), judged 291 packaging projects from 35 countries that entered the WorldStar Awards 2017. To be eligible to enter WPO WorldStar Awards the packaging must have been a winner in a national or an International competition that is recognised by WPO.
Stölzle Glass Group’s outstanding gin bottle “Isle of Harris”was created by Stölzle Flaconnage, the British production site of the Stölzle Glass Group. It is a customised new product with a bespoke fine rippled design over the whole bottle which reflects the nature of its beautiful and rugged scenery. A base surface turquoise spray is added to reflect the characteristics of the sea. A slight indentation makes serving easier.
The same bottle was also a winner at the Luxury Packaging Awards, UK Packaging Awards, and the German Packaging Awards during 2016 and it also received a bronze award in the drinks category of the Starpack Awards.
CEO of the Stölzle Glass group, Johannes Schick, said:“We are proud to be again winners of several international packaging Awards with our great bottle The Isle of Harris Gin, which gained recognition due to its excellence in design and processing. Stölzle has been investing very much in state-of- the-art-technology to boost production as well as decoration processes to set steps in innovation and product development, mainly in the field of Prestige Spirits, Perfumery and Cosmetics. Being awarded for our excellent bottles proves that our huge engagement definitely pays back.”
Stölzle has great expertise in both custom design and standard glass containers. An innovation team, which also consists of designers, works closely with the clients, taking their beautiful concepts and producing outstanding products. An exclusive touch of luxury can be added to all products in decoration. Latest innovations include printing with special effect inks, metallisation, laser cutting, embossed lettering, and accessory application.
Stölzle Glass Group has six European production sites with three of them having in-house decoration facilities.
