Gordian Strapping has supplied an OMS FT53 Shrink Machine to Emballator Packaging in Bradford, which manufactures a wide range of metal and plastic packaging. Gordian supplied an FT53 Shrink Machine to provide stability to Emballator’s palletized products which are loaded onto a pallet stand by a FLT driver with a hood being applied manually.
The machine then hoods the pack automatically. There is potential to upgrade to a fully automated system in future. The machine incorporates four enclosed hot air burners with flame control systems and safety electro-valves which avoids the risk of unburned gases escaping. An air combustion compartment ensures excellent flame stability and optimized heat shrinkage.
The burners are only ignited during shrinking, thereby ensuring considerable energy saving.
