Whilst conducting a modernisation project at one if its production facilities, a major pharmaceutical manufacturer producing 100 different types of pharmaceuticals looked for new hoses for its Pharma requirements as existing traditional types once were proving unsatisfactory. One of the problems was the transfer of powdery / crystalline products via a vacuum tank into a batching tank. They needed better service life, increased mechanical stability and easier cleanability. They had to be super smooth and be able to resist the demands of CIP and SIP cleaning processes. With faster and increased production work cycles the cleaning process cycles were increased as well. After extensive tests the decision was made in favour of Elaflex’s new ELAPHARM Ô hose.
