Karmelle Ltd expand manufacturing facility

British machinery manufacturer Karmelle Ltd is expanding its facility to accommodate a growing fabrication department.

The liquid packaging specialist has taken on a new 3200 square foot unit, where frames and parts for its filling machines, capping machines and labellers will be fabricated.

Since bringing the manufacturing process inhouse, Karmelle has invested heavily in its existing 15000 square foot facility, which includes a machine shop and two workshops. Today, it manufactures most of its equipment onsite in West Yorkshire.

After expanding its fabrication team, Directors Peter Krawczuk and Brian Dickinson made the decision to take on additional space.

The team will move into the new unit over the next few weeks.

Peter added, “Increasingly, we’re being asked to manufacture end-to-end filling lines for our customers, as well as standalone filling, capping and labelling machines.

Expanding our facility will enable us to meet continued demand for these fully-automated turnkey liquid packaging solutions. With a range of new automation projects in the pipeline, we’re looking forward to 2022.”
