SALSA accreditation is recognised as the leading food safety certification scheme for the UK’s small food and drink producers. The Chilli Doctor identified that consumers were becoming more discerning about their chilli choice wanting great flavour, provenance and not just heat or only red or green chillies. This trend and subsequent demand has had an impact on retailers and food manufacturers alike, leading to the Chilli Doctor sourcing and supplying over 50 types of chillies from around the world to both large and small food manufacturers throughout the UK and Ireland.
