After the Falsified Medicines Directive has come into force in February, all pharmaceutical manufacturers will be required to adapt their packaging lines so products are better protected against damage or fraud. Valco Melton has designed a hot melt-based technology system, ensuring that, once packaging is sealed, flaps must be broken in order to open the carton. The company says such a system guarantees that content has not been manipulated and the carton re-sealed.
