For the first time ever, Easyfairs will host London Packaging Week on 21 and 22 September at London Olympia. The event will act as a vibrant new home for collaboration, discovery, and innovation for the capital’s packaging community.
The new-look event is a major evolution of the long-established Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London and will combine four specially curated exhibitions: Food & Consumer Pack, for everyday food, drinks, and FMCG products, plus Packaging Première, PCD, and PLD.
The event will combine a packed show floor with world-class exhibitors with a free-to-attend seminar programme set across three dedicated stages to cater for a wide range of packaging sectors.
The Show Floor
The event will host more than 180 exhibitors, many of which will use the event as the perfect platform to launch their latest packaging developments.
Exhibiting at Food & Consumer Pack will be TIPA Compostable Packaging where it will debut its new fully home compostable transparent laminate, T.LAM 608. It offers the same barrier and transparency as other compostable laminate solutions but with the added benefit of being home compostable, giving end-consumers authority over their own waste management.
Elsewhere, Denny Bros will launch its DBop innovation. DBop, or Denny Bros on-pack, is a new multi-page labelling format for promotional appeal that can also accommodate inserts such as transfers.
Seminar Content
London Packaging Week will present content across three new stage concepts. For FMCG professionals, the Food and FMCG Future Makers stage will provide all you need to know about the future of food and everyday product packaging. Seminars will be delivered by the brands best keeping up with the rapid evolution of food retail, and the associations and organisations behind these changes, including Nestlé, DEFRA, WRAP, Unpackaged, OPRL, and Appetite Creative.
Content will also take place across the Luxury Unboxed stage and the Beauty and Drinks Innovators stage.
Alongside three packed seminar stages, The Pentawards, the global platform and community for packaging design, will also deliver six exclusive Capital of Design sessions. Here, speakers will use examples of award-winning packaging concepts to illustrate how attention to detail can power packaging to capture the attention of the market.
Finally, The Big Debate series will return by popular demand to discuss topics including ‘how to make true progress to minimise packaging’s impact on the planet’.
Josh Brooks, Marketing and Community Director for Easyfairs’ Packaging Events, said: “We are excited to bring an all new look to our London event. Whilst Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London has provided a unique meeting place for packaging designers, technologists, and suppliers in the capital for 10 years, the needs of the market have evolved significantly in the past decade. So, it’s time to begin a new chapter for London’s packaging community. Food & Consumer Pack will especially highlight the most exciting innovations taking place for FMCG professionals whilst the dedicated seminar content will provide an insight to the sector’s emerging trends.”
