2019 also saw The Green Group awarded a contract with Tarmac – the UK’s largest supplier of construction materials. The agreement sees the bagged aggregate distribution through The Green Group’s leading logistics network in the UK with Green Group providing 100 percent of deliveries from Tarmac’s Bawtry site.

The Green Group expect to move over 6,000 loads of bagged aggregates across the UK during the contract. Contracts like this are having a huge impact on the company moving forward, allowing investment in new infrastructure across the company. The Current HQ at Maltby is about to be completely re-transformed into a state- of-the-art transport centre with head of ce and warehousing. Investment in technology is also a key priority to ensure services stay ahead of the game. There are continuous improvements to the transport management system to provide better control, visibility and tracking. This includes custom WMS systems being implemented into the warehouses and seamless integration into the vehicles, trailers and customer facing apps, integration with carrier network and B to C capability.
