SPAR UK rolls out second phase of S Budget range

Since its launch last August, SPAR’s value S Budget range has achieved wholesale sales of £6m. New lines will now be added to the range in September, including tea, coffee and double concentrate orange squash, as well as five new household products, all guaranteeing retail margins of at least 20 per cent.

This new range from Douwe Egberts, The Flavour Collective, has taken inspiration from the consumer desire to personalise along with the out of home coffee shop scene – popular with younger consumers. The premium freeze-dried instant coffee is infused with a variety of flavours, offering coffee shop flavours at home or in the office.

Earlier this year, Fish Fingers & a Cheese & Tomato pizza were also launched to build up the frozen food offering. In the existing range, S Budget Energy Drink is the best-selling line, selling an amazing two million singles since launch.

Susan Darbyshire, SPAR Brand Director, said: “Since the S Budget launch last year, SPAR retailers have already been bowled over by the popularity and success of the range, saying that it has come at the perfect time for their customers, so it seemed a natural move to launch nine fantastic new products into the range now.”

S Budget prices continue to be monitored against competitors to ensure they are economical.

The new products will be supported by POS materials including posters, barkers and shelf edge label enhancers. Themed S Budget kits offering external banners, window posters, hanging POS, fins, shelf stripping, gondola end headers and shelf barkers are also available.
